The Sun began it's life years ago as a remix for the talented Brian Busto and his, then, collaborative team the Heat Merchants. Sunshine remixed their track "Sun Will Shine" and didn't use any of the original elements form the track aside from the clap (TR-707 handclap.)
While the Heat Merchants did not release their original version, DJ Three and Sasha collaborated to get a copy of Sunshine's Rework into the speakers and onto the recorded sets of Sasha and Digweed for more than a year.
Eventually DJ Three launched his new effort, and included The Sun as a Sunshine Jones original track on his brilliant compilation Phono Obscura.
When it was time to compile the LP HOME, permission was granted to include the song on the solo LP and this is the full length, un edited version of the song.
D.L.A.M.B. is an acronym which stands for "don't look at my butt" and is a tribute to the late, and beautiful Annie M., of Contra Costa County, California. She was, at the time, a great friend of Sunshine's and while she loved to dance and sing, it was challenging for her because she felt that people were always looking at her butt, and she didn't like that one bit.
This quirk of personality is, naturally, immortalized in the title of this re work.
